“Kaho Na Pyaar Hai” girl, Ameesha Patel summoned by court Against Charges of “Kaho Na Cheque Bounce Hai”
Ameesha Patel is certainly in a big soup as cheque issued by her in favour of the famous film producer Ajay Kumar Singh has bounced a few days ago. The actress had allegedly borrowed some money from the producer during the last year for the release of a film titled Desi magic.
The producer has lodged an accusation against Ameesha tending to a Rs 2.5 crore fraud. Informing about the same on a famous media platform, Ajay said, “We have filed a case in a Ranchi court after a cheque of Rs 3 crore bounced. She has not been responding to anything with regard to the money she borrowed from me last year for the release of a film named Desi Magic. Now she has been summoned by the court and she has to appear before the court on July 8.”
The producer further produced added information on the same mentioning that he had met the actress in 2017, discussing an under production film. But, due to lack of funds the project came to a halted and this is when Ajay supported her by lending Rs 3.5 crore for the film. The producer hasn’t been repaid, yet and with this cheque bouncing concern, he had no other option that to file a complaint. As produced by him, he has filed a case in the Ranchi court.
Further adding on the same, he said, “If she doesn’t come, a warrant will be issued against her. We went to court on June 17 with the request to issue a warrant since she is not responding, but the judge of the court suggested sending a summon by the police before an arrest warrant.”
Apparently, the film was supposed to get released in the month of June this year, however, the plans have changed. Ajay further mentioned, “Initially, I was told that the film will release in June (this year). Then I was told that it will release in September. But I will get my money with interest by September. Though I was given a cheque of Rs 3 crore, it bounced. When I tried to do a follow-up, her whole attitude changed and she said I am a small investor and I should keep quiet. But it is my money.”
Ajay Singh is currently producing an upcoming film, Family of Thakurganj that will be releasing on July 19.
