After Aamir Khan starrer movie Dangal, it’s the turn of Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh, which is seen being declared as tax free in Uttar Pradesh. It seems that the government in UP is leveraging from different films to create some rapport with the makers and the movie goers keeping the upcoming state elections at the backdrop. Hence relieving the theatres, distributors and makers along with the audience the taxes will help them to some extent.
Anyway, the film has now gone tax free in Uttar Pradesh. Since past two weeks of its release, both the critics and movie goers felt that the suspense thriller deserve to be made tax free and the UP government have initiated things in this direction and let’s see when the other films is to do the same. The past two weeks the demand from the audience to make the film tax free as more and more familes is keen to catch the film.
The film is produced by Kushal Kantilal Gada and Sujoy Ghosh along with others from the Gada family. The film also has Arjun Rampal and Vidya Balan in the lead roles and revolves around the key issue of child abuse. As soon the makers heard about the film going tax free in Uttar Pradesh, they welcomed the decision and expressed their glee and applauds.
The makers gave the message they felt good to hear how the core and sensitive issue of child abuse touched the government and they decided to go things in a right direction. The film Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh, which happens to be the second series of Kahaani franchise released earlier in 2012. The film is directed by Sujoy Ghosh, and the makers are now looking forward to see the surge in the coming days.
