This man requires no introduction as he happens to be among the veteran actors of Bollywood who is known for casting as a comedian, negative actor, and dialogue and script writer apart from being also popular as a director. He has worked in more than 300 movies in Bollywood who has started his career way back in seventies. He was born in Kabul, Afghanistan and belongs to Kakar Pashtun tribe. He later was migrated to Mumbai when he was barely one. His family dwelled in slums of Kamathipura wherein he went to a local municipal school and later went to Ismail Yusuf College completing his PG diploma in Engineering, later he did AMIE specializing in Civil Engineering and then joined MH Saboo Siddik College of Engineering in Mumbai wherein he taught Civil Engineering.

During the college festivals, he used to participate in cultural programs and plays wherein he was recognised by DIlip Kumar who after watching his play immediately signed for his next movie called Sagina Mahato and later for Bairaag. He has three sons, with two of them are based in Netherlands, while the third son is based in Canada. Kader Khan has dual citizenship – one from Canada and other is of India. He started his career with the movie Daag in 1973. He did a number of movies working with all the actors of seventies and of 21st century actors, which include Feroz Khan, Jeetendra, Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda. He has been the favourite of David Dhawan who was seen in his different movie with Govinda.

He has also worked with other comedians as well including Johnny Lever and Shakti Kapoor. He has been in the movies of wide range of characters and themes. Right from playing the character of father, brother, uncle, main villain to guest actor, comedian and side villain, he had a wide range of roles to play. He is considered to be the legends in Indian Cinema and has done a good contribution in the Indian film industry and Bollywood. Apart from working in a number of movies, he was also seen in TV series like Hasna Mat, which was found over Star Plus along with other comedy series like Hi Padosi aired on Sahara One. As a script and dialogue writer, he has worked in a number of movies including Ganga Jamuna Saraswati, Coolie, Sharaabi, Lawaaris, Desh Premee, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Suhaag, Amar Akbar Anthony and Parvarish.

Some of his recent movies include Kill Dil, Hero, Mr. Money, In Your Arms, while his upcoming movie include Tevar, which would be released in January 2015. He has nominated and won a number of awards at various platforms including Filmfare under the category of Comedian and other categories. Some of his prestigious awards include the government of India’s Sahitya Shiromani Award, which he got in 2013 for his exceptional work and contributions in Hindi Film industry. His first award was in 1982 for Best Dialogue for the movie Meri Awaaz Suno from Filmfare. He was even recognised by the American Federation of Muslims from India (AFMI) a group based in United States of Indian Muslims for his contribution in Indian Muslim Community.
