K. K. Raina is a film, TV and theatre actor apart from being an award-winning scriptwriter. He was born on 16th October 1992 in Sri Nagar, J&K. He did his schooling and college from Jammu and then headed to Delhi to join the National School of Drama, Delhi. He remained active in theatres while being in Delhi and later headed to Mumbai to pursue to do big in films and TV. However, before that, he was working as an auditor and later shifted his career to acting when his mentor encouraged him.
He started his career in films with the movie called Vijeta playing the role called Wilson released in 1982 followed by Aadharshila the same year and since then it was no looking back for him. He did a number of movies including Gandhi, Mandi, Godam, Ardh Satya, Tasveer Apni Apni, Party, Aghaat, Nasoor, Trikal, Ek Ruka Hua Faisla, Susman, Mohre, Diksha, Suraj Ka Satvan Ghoda, Damini, Byomkesh Bakshi, Ghatak: Lethal, Dahek, and Aks to name a few. Some of his recent films include Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, D-Day, Zed Plus, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Mirzya, Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana and Pati Patni Aur Woh released recently in 2019.
He also worked as a writer and the film from which he started his career includes Ghatak: Lethal as associate screenplay in the year 1996. He then did China Gate in 1998 writing for screenplay and dialogues followed by Dahek in 1998 as a screenplay writer and Pukar in 2000 as dialogues writer. He was awarded as the best scriptwriter for China Gate in 1998. He active on TV as well and has done a couple of shows.
