Movie Review

Not every film needs action or high-stakes drama to leave an impact. Sometimes, a simple and sincere story is all it takes to resonate, and Mannu Kya Karega? is exactly that kind of movie. Directed by SsanJay Tripaathy, this quiet yet powerful film gently finds its way into your heart with a relatable and heartfelt narrative.

The story follows Mannu (Vyom Yadav), a bright but unfocused college student in Dehradun who struggles with his future. His life changes when he meets Jiya (Saachi Bindra), a confident and driven girl. When Jiya questions his plans, Mannu fabricates a lie about running a startup called “Nothing,” which soon spirals out of his control. A turning point comes when his professor, Don Sir (Vinay Pathak), introduces him to the Japanese philosophy of Ikigai, which helps Mannu on his journey of self-discovery.

The performances are the soul of the film. Vyom Yadav delivers a warm and sincere debut, full of genuine emotion. Saachi Bindra is natural and convincing as Jiya, and their chemistry feels authentic and unforced. Vinay Pathak is fantastic as the wise and witty professor. The supporting cast, including Kumud Mishra and Charu Shankar as Mannu’s parents, adds heartfelt emotional layers to the story.

SsanJay Tripaathy deserves praise for keeping the film grounded and authentic. The writing by Saurabh Gupta and Radhika Malhotra feels natural, with conversations and emotions that are genuine. The gentle yet engaging pacing allows the audience to fully connect with Mannu’s journey. The film’s soundtrack is a highlight, with nine original songs that beautifully complement the narrative,

This film leaves you with a full heart, a gentle smile, and perhaps some thoughtful questions about your own journey. That’s what makes it truly special. Catch Mannu Kya Karegga? with your family this weekend—you won’t regret it! So, enjoy!
