Bio – John Abraham is a former model, film actor and producer. After doing a couple of ad campaigns, he got the role for his first movie called Jism (2003), which even gave him the best debut actor, in Filmfare. However, his first commercially hit movie was Dhoom (2004), wherein he was seen in a negative character for which he was applauded and nominated in different awards. As a producer, Vicky Donor was his first movie, which turned out to be a big hit giving him the first the National award for the best popular film providing wholesome entertainment. He then formed his own production company calling it John Abraham Entertainment, while his second movie as a producer was Madras Café that too gave him applauds from different sections of the society.

He has two siblings, one younger sister and younger brother. He did his college from Bombay Scottish School and did his BA in Economics from Jai Hind College followed by doing his MMS from Mumbai Educational Trust in Bombay. As his career is concerned, he started with his modeling career, seen in the music video of one of the song called as Surma by the Punjabi singer known as Jazzy B. he was later seen joining the media company called Time & Space Media Entertainment Promotions Ltd. The said company soon was closed down due to financial loses. Later he worked as a media planner for the firm called Enterprises Nexus.

In the year 1999, John Abraham won the contest Gladrags Manhunt for Manhunt Internationals held in Philippines, which led him a couple of modeling assignments at Hong Kong, New York and London. He was also seen in appearing in a number of ads and music videos of singers like Hans Raj Hans, Babul Supriyo and Pankaj Udhas. In order to shape his acting skills, he was seen joining Kishore Namir Kapoor and seen completing his acting course in flying colors. He acted in a number of movies and later was also seen trying his luck as a producer making two hit movies as named above. Besides, he was also seen in active in a number of social causes. He is active with PETA and Habitat for Humanity and seen donating one lakh to the Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre in Bombay. In the year 2009, he was seen leading a group of celebrities in the Mumbai Marathon, which is basically an annual event meant to benefit the cause United Way.

He was awarded for several movies as best actor, supporting actor and even producer in all the prestigious awards, which lead him a couple for his performance. Besides he was also awarded for the best and alluring look, while he and Bipasa Basu was named as a long time couple but after dating for 9 years, the couple separated to lead their individual life. John has married an NRI lady called Priya Runchal, whom he had met in the year 2010 in Bombay.
