As we see the makers are now gearing up for the release of the film Batla House in the coming few days, they leave no stone unturned to promote in the media. During the promotion, we see John Abraham talking a lot about his film and others in the media. In these interviews and media interactions, he disclosed how he prepared for the given role of the ACP – Sanjay Kumar in the movie.
The character he is playing in the film is influenced by Sanjay Kumar Yadav, who was the then ACP, Special Cell, Delhi Police who carried out the encounter in Batla House. While John Abraham when was involved in the research to study the body language and mannerism of the cop, he found out a copy of the Quran in the library of DCP. He then learned that it was often referred by the cop while he was interrogating the terrorists as they kept on quoting a number of verses from the said book. The officer then took a copy of the book to understand their minds and beliefs during the interrogations.
Hence John Abraham also took time to read the Quran and even had learned a couple of verses from the book. He said that it is vital for him to understand the thought process of the people.
