Jio Studios Unveils New Logo; Jyoti Deshpande Says It ‘Represents Our Ambition to Push Boundaries

This Diwali, Jio Studios, the entertainment arm of Reliance Industries Ltd, unveiled more than just a blockbuster. In conjunction with the release of Singham Again, the studio debuted a dynamic new logo that embodies its dedication to impactful, culturally rich storytelling. Since its founding in 2018, Jio Studios has established a unique presence in India’s flourishing entertainment sector, creating over 100 films and series that showcase the richness and diversity of Indian culture.
The year 2024 has been particularly remarkable for the studio, marked by a string of critically acclaimed and commercially successful titles such as Article 370, Shaitaan, and the record-breaking Stree 2, all performing impressively in both domestic and international markets. With Singham Again achieving the second-largest opening of the year and Laapata Ladies being selected as India’s official Oscar submission, Jio Studios has maintained a flawless success rate for its 2024 lineup, reinforcing its status as a market leader and influential force in Indian entertainment.
The animation of the new logo begins with a single spark emanating from a sphere of energy, symbolizing Jio, and representing the birth of an idea depicted by pixie dust. This spark ignites into a vibrant tapestry of mandala designs, symbolizing the universe in its ideal state, with the moving mandala dials uniting Indian languages and musical notes. Each element intricately weaves together to form a golden lotus—a timeless emblem of purity, resilience, and renewal, associated with Brahma, the creator of the Universe.
As the lotus unfurls, it reveals a stunning mandala design that encapsulates all the elements, with Jio at its core. The final crescendo births the Jio Studios logo, accompanied by the resonant sound of a sitar. Every detail of this new logo reflects Jio Studios’ mission: “Make in India, Show the World.” With a striking palette of black and gold, the logo is both timeless and ethereal. It is paired with an unforgettable signature tune, rich with a variety of Indian instruments, capturing the essence of Jio Studios’ commitment to creativity and grandeur in storytelling while proudly showcasing its Indianness. Reflecting on this significant achievement, Jyoti Deshpande,
President of Media and Content Business at Reliance Industries, stated, “2024 has been a phenomenal year for Jio Studios, marked by consecutive box office triumphs and critical acclaim with Stree 2 and Laapataa Ladies. A moving logo encapsulates emotion; it embodies our brand and values while clearly representing our vision. I am particularly proud of how our logo celebrates our Indianness.
