Jiban Panda is an actor who is active in Odiya and Bollywood films. He hails from Orrisa and was brought up in this Indian state. He was born and brought up in a small town in Orrisa and later headed to Mumbai to pursue his dreams in the world of acting. He then headed to Mumbai to try his luck and with a bit of struggle he got the chance to work in Bollywood films, which was plain accidental for him as his photos and videos and then got the chance to play the role in one of the films.
Since he comes from a film background with his mother Radha Panda who worked in Bengali and Odia films hence he always wanted to be an actor. He is known for his perfect comic timing that made him work in various TV and films. He also got the chance to play the transgender role called Panchu Pandaba in the year 1989 for which Panda bagged a few awards as well including the Chalchitra Jagat Award for his Sanju Aau Sanjana and Pilata Bigidigala.
His recent film was One Day Justice Delivered where he played the role of a hotel owner based in Ranchi. He worked with Mahie Gill, Anupam Kher, Kumud Mishra, and Zarina Wahab.
