Plot

The film revolves around the injured and arrested armyman called Sameer Choudhary in Oman. He then sends his request to the Indian Embassy in Oman. The film is set in 2008, which deals with Newlyweds Sameer and Nargis (Shivaleeka Oberoi). They then head to Oman after getting a job there. The lady first lands at Oman and soon is engaged in a trouble, which is basically a prank. However, when Sameer gets to know about her, he is seen taking law in his hand to rescue his wife. The story then has several twists and turns worth checking in the film.

Review

Most of the scenes having Arabic dialogues fail to have any subtitles, which makes the film start on an unknown note. However, you may like the different camera angles carried out to experiment in this film. The raw action sequences in the film go very unusual in B Town. The story lacks the freshness as we have seen such films earlier, thus the film does not score well on the content part.

Talking about the performances, one can find the actor Vidyut Jammwal in his Un-Vidyut Jammwal most of the time. Thus for the starters, the film is not about an actor with his monotonous action sequences. He seemed good showcasing his skills as a sign of improvement. On the other side, Annu Kapoor playing the Oman based man has played a difficult role in a nice way. He went subtle playing this role. On the other side, Shiv Pandit comes as a sweet surprise. Others like Aahana Kumar and Shivaleekha Oberoi also have a decent job.

Talking about direction and music, the film scores low again. Faruk Kabir as a director did try to make a stylish comeback with this film, yet seemed lagging behind. The story seemed overstretched while a few twists came without much prediction. The music was okay but the songs were cool, particularly the ones like Armaan Malik’s Mera Intezaar Karna and Sonu Nigam’s Aakhri Kadam Tak. The other elements like editing, choreography and technical stuff were okay.

Khuda Haafiz The Last Word

The film Khuda Haafiz with a newbie director seems delivering a lot more than expected and so was the case of the lead actor Vidyut Jammwal who showcased his other side of his nature. If you come up with a few expectations, you are likely to enjoy it a lot.
