Jayeshbhai Jordaar: Ranveer Singh’s film has a Charlie Chaplin connect to it, here’s how!

Ranveer Singh is currently on a promotional spree as his highly awaited film Jayeshbhai Jordaar is all set to release on 13th May 2022. Ahead of its release, the 83 actor opened up on how the great Charlie Chaplin inspired him to do the film.

Ranveer said “I saw a close-up picture of Chaplin during my research. On the face of it, it looks like a funny picture, but if you look into his eyes, you will see that they are brimming with tears. That was my driving force for Jayesh. I blew up this picture to four feet by four feet, and pasted it in my vanity van. It gave me every character cue that I needed before going out to become Jayesh.”

Talking about the film Ranveer says “Jayeshbhai Jordaar is a unique experience because it has pushed me into becoming a character with no reference point in Hindi cinema. Jayeshbhai is not your typical hero. He discovers heroism when he is pushed to the brink, and according to me, he is one of the most lovable heroes in Hindi cinema,” he says.

Ranveer Singh’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar is a social comedy-drama starring Shalini Pandey and directed by Divyang Thakkar, who is making his directorial debut.

Apart from Jayeshbhaai Jordaar, Ranveer Singh will next be seen in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, co-starring Alia Bhatt. After Gully Boy, this is their second collaboration. With this film, Karan Johar returns to the director’s chair after a six-year gap.
