The film is a comedy-drama with Saif Ali Khan called Jazz a carefree and casanova man based in London who seems to have affair with many. These girls certainly include Tabu and she ends up turning a mother of a daughter played by Alaya Furniturewala. However, she remains deserted by her parents and one fine day she appears in the life of Saif Ali Khan claiming to be her daughter, so what goes the next is interesting to catch in your nearby cinema.
This is not the first time when we have a film with a casanova kind of image guy who has been in a relationship with multiple girls and then finds the ultimate girl to witness the change in heart. Many including Saif Ali Khan has done such films and he is again back with similar genre movie but this time we see the change in an angle where the daughter is placed in the life of a carefree casanova kind of guy. The film takes a slow start where we see Saif leading a youngsters’ happening life. But it takes to the next level with the entry of Tia. The first half have several good sequences like the first meeting of Tia and Jazz along with others.
The story though has been inspired by several movies including Salman Khan starrer Jab Pyaar Kisi Se sizzlinga hai, yet it has its own uniqueness. The first part of the film seems breezy for being light and interesting. Although one can find the pace issue, yet it is manageable. On the other side, the second half is also slow and one can see some repetitive sequences hampering the entertainment value to some extent. The change of heart of Saif needed more detailing but nonetheless, the overall picture seems okay.
Talking about the performances, Saif Ali Khan has been always good in such roles and the character of Jazz is no exception. He has done a wonderful job playing this character so well, and looks cool and stylish. Aalia F has done a wonderful role in her debut film. Similar goes with others like Tabu and Kubra Sait. Talking about the direction, it is one of the best films of Nitin, while same goes with the music that has remained at the high making the film more enjoyable. The Cinematography by Manoj Kumar Khatoi is fresh and stylish and so are the other elements making it a worth watch.
