Janhvi Kapoor has played one of her striking roles with her debut but, what makes her back into the headlines is the strange statement she is making about Pankaj Tripathi. The enormously talented actor, Pankaj Tripathi, has been delivering some of the finest acting works in the form of several stellar roles in films like Newton, Bareilly ki Barfi etc. This is the reason the actor has kept on flooded with compliments for all his recent performances.
But at times the praises do floor him. During a recent talk show, Janhvi Kapoor narrated an incident at a party where she called Pankaj Tripathi, “Sir, par aap toh ice cream ho, aap sabko pasand ho (You are like an-ice cream everyone likes you).”
Janhvi further added, “He probably thinks I am a creep, but yes I feel he is a legendary actor and there is no one like Pankaj sir. I couldn’t hold back and immediately expressed my fondness for him,”
Reacting to this effusive compliment Pankaj Tripathi said, “Why would I think badly of her for comparing me to an ice-cream? This was her way of saying how much she enjoyed my performances and I fully appreciate her words.”
Janhvi is currently shooting with Pankaj for their upcoming war saga Kargil Girl and that’s how she got the chance to observe his acting acumen.
Pankaj Tripathi further said, “The praise is coming from all quarters, and I take all of it seriously. The other day Manoj Bhai (Bajpai) called me to praise me. I felt blessed. He is an actor from Bihar like me and he achieved so much from the scratch. I look up to him. And I read every review of my film. I take every word written by critics about my films and performances very seriously.”
Pankaj is playing the role of Janhvi’s father in Kargil Girl. But with Pankaj its already assured that it won’t be a routine father’s role. Further he is waiting for his much talked assignment in the second season of the Netflix series Scared Games. Sources also mentioned that Pankaj’s remuneration for this season was re-negotiated helping him take home a very impressive pay packet.
