It’s been a week since Jai Gangaajal has been released and after a dull start, the film entered in the first weekend with the same pace, which continued till the week really ended. The film had some amount of buzz in the media with the presence of Priyanka Chopra at the center and it also was expected to get a good collection, but it failed to give much of the Moolah despite Prakash Jha the producer and director of the film did the debut in acting and promoted himself as well. Hence with such a lowly collection, the film can be called as a shaky wicket.
As per reports, the first week box office collection for Jai Gangajal tolled to around 29.50 crores, which is indeed not an impressive figure at least for a much hyped films like this. Interestingly, the film had any competition with the films releasing the same day as it had only one in its competition that came in the form of a musical flick called Zubaan. There is no chance that the film will ever get over at the box office and would definitely suffer a huge setback in terms of business. Now, if we look at the other release that came in the form of Zubaan the story more badly that went par with many people’s expectations.
As per reports, the first week box office report collection of the film Zubaan tolled to around 1 cores, which is considered to be the lifetime collection for it. On the other wide, the Sonam Kapoor starrer film – Neerja managed to maintain a good pull over the box office with a collection heading to around 70 crores. And with today’s release in the form of Terra Surroor, again this film would suffer in terms of collection and similar with the story for PC starring film Jai Gangajal.
