Jacqueline Fernandez claims to have been a victim in the Sukesh Chandrashekhar case, details inside!

According to the reports Jacqueline Fernandez has been listed as an accused in the charge sheet provided by the Enforcement Directorate. Although she was identified as an accused in the Sukesh Chandrashekhar Rs. 200 crore extortion case, the actress responded to it in a plea before the Appellate Authority of PMLA by claiming that other famous people, such as Nora Fatehi, were named as witnesses in the charge sheet. She also claimed that Sukesh, the primary defendant in the case, had defrauded her, just like he had done to the other famous people.

For those who are unaware, the ED received papers alleging that Jacqueline Fernandez was the recipient of gifts and assets worth Rs. 7 crores from Sukesh Chandra. The actress was subsequently identified as an accused in the charge sheet that was filed. According to reports, the ED also provided evidence that the actress’ family had also benefited financially from the con artist. Along with Jacqueline, names of other celebrities like Nora Fatehi also gained attention because it was said that she had also received gifts from Sukesh. Jacqueline was identified as one of the accused earlier this month, even though Nora has been listed as a witness in the case.

The actress argued in her plea statement to the PMLA Appellate Authority that the Fixed Deposits that were provided as evidence were created by her using her legal income and have no link to the crime. In the plea, she also claimed that it was written long before she ever knew Sukesh Chandrashekhar existed. The actress also stated that she has always responded to her summons and cooperated with the investigation by providing as much information as she was able to.

Jacqueline Fernandez in her statement made it very clear that, like other victims, she was taken advantage of by con artist Sukesh, but the agencies did not recognize this. “Even if we assume the entirety of the prosecution case to be accurate for the sake of argument, no case is established against her under the framework of the PMLA or any other applicable statute. This is an instance of malicious prosecution, according to her statement. She also referred to the claim that she was a “Recipient of the gifts” in her plea, which categorically identifies her as someone who was forced, pressured, or possibly deceived into accepting the items.
