Jackie Shroff wanted his kids should choose a different profession than showbiz? Here’s what the actor REVEALS!

For decades, Jackie Shroff has been a formidable and well-known name in the Hindi cinema industry, and now his son Tiger Shroff is continuing on the tradition, while Jackie continues to strengthen it. That isn’t to say the family hasn’t had its share of difficulties.

Boom, a black comedic thriller starring Amitabh Bachchan, Jackie, Gulshan Grover, Padma Lakshmi, Madhu Sapre, Zeenat Aman, and Katrina Kaif, was produced by Jackie’s wife Ayesha Shroff in 2003. The film, however, failed at the box office, leaving Jackie’s family in a dire financial condition. They were deeply in debt, and they had to sell their home and belongings to make ends meet.

Jackie and Tiger have both previously spoken about that time in their lives and how the family struggled to get through it. When you ask Jackie if he ever believed his kids should leave this area and pursue other opportunities during that time, he flatly rejects it.

“No, I never thought that way as these things never crossed my mind.”

The actor added, “I have gone through the highs and lows of the financial aspect of this business and during the lows I have just tried to keep my head held high and return whatever was owed in the maximum capacity possible. A lot of people supported me within the industry, so the family that brought me here from the chawl and when I went down, pulled me back, that family deserves my undying support and association. This is a beautiful industry and as soldiers serve the country and give them courage, we try to entertain people’s hearts.”
