Anupam Kher is making his directorial comeback with the highly anticipated film Tanvi: The Great. He recently unveiled the first look of Jackie Shroff as Brigadier Joshi, showcasing him in a distinguished army officer’s uniform. Alongside this reveal, Kher shared some behind-the-scenes anecdotes about casting Shroff and highlighted the strong bond they share off-screen.

Anupam Kher expressed his sentiments, stating, “ACTORS of TANVI THE GREAT: My friend #JackieShroff is truly my brother from another mother. We have not only collaborated on numerous films but are also related. Not many know that his wife, Ayesha Shroff, has been tying Rakhi to me for over 30 years. Jackie has a golden heart—‘Love’ could be his second name, as he embodies so much of it.”He continued, “One day, Jackie visited my place while I was still in the process of casting for Tanvi: The Great. I played him a few recorded songs, and he remained silent for a while after listening.

Directed by Kher, the film features music by Oscar-winning composer M.M. Keeravani and is produced by Anupam Kher Studios in collaboration with NFDC and Lower Middle Class Corporation. The film stars newcomer Shubhangi Dutt in the lead role, with its official release date yet to be announced.
