Jaat Makers Edit Out Controversial Church Scene Following Backlash from Christian Community

Sunny Deol’s latest film, Jaat, has been making headlines not only for its action-packed narrative and patriotic themes but also due to a controversial scene that has drawn significant criticism from members of the Christian community. The controversy centers around a sequence featuring the film’s villain, portrayed by Randeep Hooda, which takes place inside a church. Many viewers from the Christian community deemed this scene offensive and disrespectful to their religious sentiments.
In response to the growing backlash, the makers of Jaat acted swiftly to address the concerns raised. In an official statement, the team clarified their position and confirmed that the contentious scene has been removed from all versions of the film.The filmmakers stated, “We have received backlash regarding a specific scene in the film. The scene has been removed with immediate effect. Our intention was never to hurt anyone’s religious sentiments.
We deeply regret this situation and have promptly taken action to delete the scene. We sincerely apologize to everyone whose beliefs have been affected. ”The controversy gained traction on social media following the film’s release, with several prominent voices from the Christian community calling for a public apology and appropriate action. Directed by Gopichandh Malineni, Jaat also features Saiyami Kher, Viineet Kumar Siingh, and Regena Cassandra, among others.
