For Sidharth Malhotra all his earlier movies like A Gentleman and Baar Baar Dekho have been average grosser or rather flop and similar is the story of Sonakshi Sinha with her films like Noor and Akira were on the rough patch. However, with their films like Ittefaq, one can expect a turn over in their career. As the film releases today, it has great potential to give the lead actors a decent grosser, which they both are desperately looking for. However, the credit for this should be given to the smart marketing and promotional strategy, which they have been applying since past few weeks.
They have carried out their own ways rather adopting their old fashioned methods like no mall visits, no TV shows and no interviews. In fact, a sudden press conference with Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan present along with the lead stars have done wonders in the B Town (as they are the makers of the film). Also, the reviews coming from the trailer too seemed to be expected on a better side which will certainly going to help the makers in a big way. Now, talking about the core subject of the film, which seems to been the interesting. Despite being the remake of the classic film Ittefaq of 1969, the film seems to have a twist, which is going to attract the audience to the film.
Though the makers have not found their film to be a big ticket release on its first day, yet the buzz seems to be decent for the film. We can expect a decent collection on the first day, which will escalate in the coming days. As per the current buzz, the film has secured 4 to 5 crores on the first day while during the weekend one can expect the collection reaching to 20 plus crores for sure. The kind of genre the film has will certainly going to create a good buzz in the media, which will further give a decent collection for sure. Well, let’s see how things will go but at the moment Ittefaq seems to be a decent grosser.
