Urvashi Rautela bags her first project with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions

Urvashi Rautela, a popular target for social media trolls, made a surprise announcement on Instagram on Wednesday. The actress revealed that she has landed her first project with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.

Urvashi came to Instagram to share the exciting news with her fans, along with an intriguing video. The boomerang video shows her being greeted on the set with a sunflower-adorned hamper.

Though Urvashi acknowledged her involvement in Dharma Productions’ project, it remains unknown whether it would be a film or a web series. The actress also declined to reveal any other details regarding the project.

Excited fans took to the comment section to congratulate the actress. One fan wrote, “Khub name kamao apna or tumara paribarka.dua karta hu humesa successful raho”. Another user wrote, “All the best for all your upcoming movies. May you get all the success in your life.”

Urvashi, who had her acting debut in Sunny Deol’s film ‘Singh Saab The Great’ in 2013 and has since worked in ‘Sanam Re’, ‘Great Grand Masti,’ and a few music videos. But more than her films music videos, the actress is always in the news because she is frequently subjected to trolls and memes on social media. Urvashi has often been the trolled for her relationship rumours with cricketer Rishabh Pant. She has been also hitting headlines because of her fashion sense and her lavish lifestyle. Couple of months back, the actress was trolled when she  celebrated her 29th birthday. She got called out by netizens for her pictures because they looked ‘fake’ and ‘AI generated’.

On the work front, Urvashi was last seen in a dance number in Telugu spy thriller Agent’, which turned out to be a huge box office disaster. Apart from the newly signed Dharma Productions project, Urvashi will be seen opposite Randeep Hooda in ‘Inspector Avinash’. Urvashi is also part of Telugu thriller film ‘Black Rose’. She will also be seen working in the Hindi remake of the Tamil crime thriller Thiruttu Payale 2.
