Jersey, starring Shahid Kapoor, is ready to hit theatres tomorrow after generating a lot of buzzes and a long wait (April 22). Jersey is the official Bollywood version of the National Award-winning Telugu film Jersey, which starred Nani in the lead role. Last night, the Jersey team organized a screening of the sports drama, and several celebrities were seen gathering to witness Shahid Kapoor’s feature in the film. In the midst of all of this, Shahid’s family was spotted at a Jersey screening.
Shahid’s brother, Ishaan Khatter, has now revealed some behind-the-scenes photos from the Jersey screening, where the actor’s family gathered to support the film. Shahid and Ishaan were seen in the photos clutching each other as they posed for the camera. Ishaan looked charming in his black shirt, while Shahid looked smart in his fashionable shirt and pieces of denim. “Alright loves, it’s time for jerseyyyyy,” he captioned the photo. He also uploaded a photo of Mira Rajput and Neliima Azeem. Who was seen twinning in white and carrying themselves with unrivaled panache. “Beauties” was the caption on the photo.
When it comes to Jersey, the film has been the talk of the town since its announcement, and it will see Shahid Kapoor play a cricketer for the first time on the big screen. In fact, to get into the character’s skin, the actor was seen polishing his bat skills at a cricket stadium. Jersey is led by Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Tripathi and is helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri.
