Isha Koppikar is an actress, model, and politician. She hails from Mumbai and was born on 19 September 1976. She did her schooling and college from Mumbai completing her graduation from Ramnarain Rui College in Life Sciences. While in college, she tried her luck in modeling to start working in different ads and commercials for brands like Rexona, L’Oréal, Camay, Coca-Cola and Tips & Toes. She then competed in Miss India Contest in 1995 and bagged the title followed by winning Miss Talent Crown. This gave her the break in Telugu film called Chandralekha in the year 1998.

The very same year she got her first Tamil film Kaadhal Kavithai followed by other three En Swasa Kaatre, Nenjinile and Jodi in 1999. Since then it was no looking back for the lady as she got next three Kannada films like Surya Vamsha, Hoo Anthiya Uhoo Anthiya, and O Nanna Nalle. Her first break in Bollywood started with the film Fiza playing Gitanjali in 2000. Some of her Bollywood films in her earlier days include Rahul, Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat, Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya, Company, Kaante, Pinjar, Dil Ka Rishta, Qayamat: City Under Threat, Darna Mana Hai, and LOC Kargil to name a few.

Some of her recent movies include Shabri, Maat, Keshava, Looty, and Kavacha to name a few, while she is filming for a Bollywood film called Assi Nabbe Poorey Sau playing the role of Nithya. The film is expected to hit this year in 2019. She also worked in a TV show called Peshwa Bajirao as Mastani. In her initial days, she also was seen in some music videos including Bandish Projekt and Sweet Honey Mix. She was nominated for various films at different award functions but could only bag two awards like for Kaadhal Kavithai winning Filmfare Awards for the Best Female Debut (Tamil) and for Company getting the Stardust Award for Most Exciting New Face

Talking about her personal life, she is married to hotelier Timmy Narang, who she dated for a while and finally got married in November 2009. The couple has a daughter called Rianna in 2014. Apart from a model and actor, she is also a black-belt in Taekwondo. As per the advice of numerologists, she changed her name’s spelling twice. Talking about her political career, she joined the BJP in the last term of NDA government in the presence of the Union Minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari and joined as a working president of BJP’s women transport wing.
