As we hear that Irrfan Khan is all set to begin the shoot for the sequel for Hindi Medium, which is titled as English Medium, we have some buzz being heard about the film in the media. He is now back after his long treatment for the rare brain tumor ailment in the UK. The makers have an interesting title called English Medium, and this time we hear that the film is based on overseas education. It deals with a story of Irrfan Khan’s daughter who goes to the US for her higher studies.
The film also talks about the struggle one can find in the Indian diaspora population who face challenges while being in abroad particularly in the US for studying. The sequel has the daughter of Irrfan Khan called Pia who heads to the US for her higher studies and find difficulty in adjusting with the local English students. Again the makers of the film have dealt with yet another interesting and a very much relatable concept. This time we have a new director Homi Adajania and not the earlier one called Saket Chaudhary directing Hindi Medium.
Thus one can expect the director to come out with something new and exciting sensibilities to the plot. However, the makers are yet to release the details of the film as the film is going to hit the floor soon, once Irrfan Khan settles down. Also, with Pak based actor not being allowed in India, we will be going to miss Saba Qamar in it. This makes the director go on a female lead to hunt. The film was supposed to hit last August, but with Irrfan Khan being diagnosed with the neuroendocrine tumor, the film had to be averted.
