International Emmy Awards: Anil Kapoor’s The Night Manager Falls Short to Drops of God
The Indian adaptation of The Night Manager was nominated for the Best Drama Series at the 2024 International Emmy Awards, but unfortunately, it did not win. The award went to the French series Les Gouttes de Dieu (Drops of God) .

On Tuesday, the International Emmy Awards announced the winner via X (formerly Twitter), stating, “The International Emmy® for Drama Series goes to Les Gouttes de Dieu [Drops of God], produced by Legendary Entertainment / Les Productions Dynamic / 22H22 / Adline Entertainment / France Télévisions / Hulu Japan #iemmyWIN.” They also shared a promotional poster for the show

The Night Manager Team at the Event
The cast and crew of The Night Manager, including Aditya Roy Kapoor and director Sandeep Modi, attended the ceremony dressed in stylish black suits. This series was India’s sole entry among 14 categories at the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (IATAS) nominations

In addition to Les Gouttes de Dieu and The Night Manager, other nominees in the Best Drama Series category included The Newsreader – Season 2 from Australia and Iosi, El Espía Arrepentido – Season 2 from Argentina
About Drops of God
Drops of God is a French-American-Japanese series directed by Oded Ruskin, featuring Tomohisa Yamashita and Fleur Geffrier. The plot revolves around a competition for an inheritance and a vast wine collection between an heiress and a star student of a deceased oenologist. The series premiered in April 2023 on Apple TV+ and has already been renewed for a second season.
