A new Indiana Jones 5 trailer and poster debuted at today’s Star Wars Celebration and has now been released wide. The new two-minute teaser depicts Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones embarking on his next, and most likely final, adventure. However, Just like in the prior four installments, he is not alone on a quest. In this perilous, life-threatening adventure, he is accompanied by Helena (Phoebe Waller-Bridge).

There’s also Mads Mikkelsen, who appears to be playing a Nazi antagonist out to rewrite history. The entire film revolves around ‘A Dial’ that has the potential to change the course of history, and everyone is seeking for it. Although the trailer doesn’t say it explicitly, it appears like this dial can be used to travel through time, and Mads Mikkelsen’s character is seeking it because he wants Hitler to win World War II.

If indeed there is a time travel in the film, then makers can use it to pay homage to the many Indiana Jones adventures that have come before it by revisiting the same adventures. The trailer also hints that we will get to see CGI de-aged Harrison Ford for certain scenes.

Along with Harrison Ford, the film also stars Antonio Banderas, John Rhys-Davies, Shaunette Renee Wilson, Thomas Kretschmann, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook, Olivier Richters, and Ethann Isidore.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is set to release worldwide in theaters on 30 June 2023.
