Inaamulhaq is an actor and writer in Bollywood. Apart from acting in Bollywood films like Filmistaan and Airlift, he has also written dialogues for TV shows and films.

Born in a traditional muslim family, Inaamulhaq spent his childhood in Saharanpur Uttar Pradesh. He was active in stage drama from the age of twelve. With the intention to pursue acting professionally, he decided to take training in the same. He joined National School of Drama to hone his acting skills. This opened up new cultural avenues for him. He began his career in writing with the serial Karamchand directed by Pankaj Parashar.

Inaamulhaq was associated with the popular show Comedy Circus for two years. This gave him much exposure in the creative writing field. Later he wrote dialogues for the film Buddha .. Hoga Tera Baap which had Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.

Inaamulhaq’s passion for films won’t stop just at writing. He plunged into acting with the film Firaaq in 2008. He was acclaimed for his role of a Pakistani terrorist in the National Award winning film Filmistaan in 2012. This gave him much recognition and awards and honors. He later appeared in film Airlift with Akshay Kumar playing the lead. Once again he played the antagonist with lots of maturity and subtleness. His next film Jolly LLB 2 is all set to release which again has Akshay Kumar in the lead. He will soon be seen in a cameo in the film Chidiya.

Inaamulhaq has directed two short films titled The Search and Parchchaiyaan. Both works have got awards at international film festivals and brought him lots of appreciation from all quarters. Inaamulhaq belongs to the small section of Bollywood and film makers who believe in producing quality not quantity. His slow and steady race in the industry continues with his latest films.
