Imran Khan Set for Comeback with Netflix Film Starring Bhumi Pednekar, Shooting Begins in April

The much-anticipated comeback of actor Imran Khan is generating buzz as the project inches closer to fruition. A source connected to the upcoming Netflix film has informed HT City that filming is scheduled to commence in April. “The platform wants to make the first announcement themselves. Bhumi Pednekar is confirmed for the leading role alongside Imran, and pre-production work is in full swing. The cameras will roll in a month,” the source revealed.
Last September, it was reported that Danish Aslam had penned the script and would be producing the film with Imran and a mutual friend. At that time, a source indicated that the project had been pitched to a streaming platform, which gave it a preliminary thumbs up, even though a complete screenplay was not yet in place. “No agreement has been signed yet; that will happen once the screenplay is approved,” the source noted. Now, it seems that everything has finally come together, with the necessary contracts finalized and preparations underway.
Imran Khan, who last appeared in the 2015 romantic drama Katti Batti alongside Kangana Ranaut, has recently become a trending topic on social media. Known for his roles in beloved films such as Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, Delhi Belly, and I Hate Luv Storys, the actor has largely been absent from the film industry for nearly a decade.
