Insiders revealed that producer Dinesh Vijan made this strategic decision to avoid box-office clashes—a tactic that previously benefited films like Hindi Medium and Chhaava. This shift ensures Ikkis receives a clear theatrical window and the attention it deserves.
Talking about the film, it is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, known for his expertise in thrillers, Ikkis represents his debut in the war genre. The film is based on the true heroic story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient for his unmatched bravery during the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
Alongside Agastya Nanda, the film features a strong cast including Jaideep Ahlawat, Simar Bhatia, Sikander Kher, and others. Adding to its emotional weight, Ikkis will also be a posthumous release for the legendary Dharmendra, marking a significant cinematic milestone.
With its gripping narrative, patriotic spirit, and star-studded ensemble, Ikkis promises to be more than a film—it’s a tribute to courage and sacrifice. Fans can look forward to the final trailer dropping this weekend, setting the stage for an unforgettable start to 2026.
