“I have been doing Television for 14 years now” Arun Sheshkumar
Producer duo Arun SheshKumar and Pankita has a long association in the television industry. Recently the duo came up with an unique show called Comedy Superstar which has judges like Shekhar Suman, Sonu Sood and Sushmita Sen.Talking about his long working innings in the TV industry Arun says, “I have been doing TV for 14 years now. I have done almost every reality show on television till date.
From Kaun Banega Crorepati to Satyamev Jayate to first three seasons of Jhalak Dikhla Ja to first three seasons of India’s Got Talent to Comedy Circus which are all format based shows. I have done 86 reality shows and 45-50 major events like Filmfare awards and Zee Cine Awards too. Whatever I have learnt from each show, all these experiences I have put in Comedy Superstar.”
So how was working with Sushmita Sen again? “We have done TV show with her in the past also. For us, Sush is like a family. We have known each other for quite some time now. We went to her, narrated the concept and she jumped on with pure enthusiasm, she asked me, ‘You are doing it? I am doing it too’ She is very down-to-earth. No hang-ups, no starry tantrums, she trusted us completely. We worked very professionally. For us, time management is crucial. The common belief is TV industry works day and night. But we have not followed that schedule.”
