The ‘Bang Bang!’ actor worked on the track from 1990 in Mumbai to celebrate the 25-year-anniversary of the iconic Bollywood film ‘Aashiqui’.
Talking about his memories of the song he said it was one of his “favorites” and when he listens to it, he “identifies a phase in [his] life”.
He told newkerala.com: “What I remember is going completely crazy about the entire album of the film ‘Aashiqui’. It kind of became a rage. ‘Dheere Dheere’, I remember, was one of my favourite songs at that point of time. It became like kind of a phase in life. How you have a memory of certain song that identifies a phase in your life.”
The head of music label T-Series, Bhushan Kumar created the song as a tribute to the classic film produced by his father Gulshan Kumar and said Hrithik Roshan “composed a beautiful song”
Bhushan said: “I want to dedicate the song to my dad and I want to do it in my style and this idea generated from there and then he composed a beautiful song merging ‘Dheere Dheere’ with it and it came very well.”
