On August 1, Prime Video announced the exclusive global streaming premiere of Housefull 5, the uproarious fifth installment of the beloved comedy franchise known for its over-the-top humor. Written and directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film features a stellar ensemble cast packed with Bollywood stars such as Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar, Dino Morea, Chitrangada Singh, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Nikitin Dheer, and Soundarya Sharma. Housefull 5 is now streaming exclusively in Hindi on Prime Video.
The film masterfully combines the franchise’s signature slapstick comedy with an unexpected murder mystery, taking the madness to the high seas. What follows is a whirlwind of comedic chaos as three men — all claiming to be Dobriyal’s long-lost son Jolly, played by Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh — compete fiercely to inherit the billionaire’s immense fortune. Just when the situation couldn’t get any more tangled, a murder shakes the cruise to its core. Adding to the pandemonium, two impostor cops enter the scene, turning the ship into a floating carnival of mistaken identities, confusion, and nonstop hilarity.
Packed with nostalgic nods to iconic Housefull moments, this madcap whodunnit keeps audiences laughing, guessing, and gasping until the very end.
