Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are said to be bidding for new IPL teams

Everyone aspires to play in the Indian Premier League since it is regarded a cash cow by many business tycoons and suitable entrepreneurs. According to rumours, Bollywood’s celebrity couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, are bidding for the IPL’s expansion from eight to ten teams. The Indian Board of Control for Cricket is looking for serious purchasers for these teams, which has piqued DeepVeer’s interest.

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are among the 20 other purchasers who have placed bids for these teams. According to Outlook, the latest bidding will result in the famous couple, along with Man United, owning a side in a popular tournament. The BCCI then made a huge profit of between 3000 and 3500 crores per team, which is a lot of money!

The American Glazer family, a pharmaceutical behemoth, the Adani Group, and the RP-Sanjeev Goenka Groups will all make bids for the new teams.

As quoted by Outlook, a top official of this bidding process said, “The Adani Group and the RP-Sanjeev Goenka Groups are no more the ‘favourites’ to walk away with the new teams. There are some serious bidders willing to spend money on the world’s most lucrative T20 cricket league.”

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has extended the date for the Governing Council of the IPL’s Invitation to Tender from October 10, 2021, to October 20, 2021.

The BCCI is eager to attract Indian buyers, while foreign investors must adhere to the association’s rules and conditions if they wish to invest.
