Haramkhor had only the presence of Nawazuddin Siddiqui to boast of. The film which is running in it’s second week has recorded a low collection on the box office in both it’s first and second week. The movie is based on the relationship of a school teacher and his teenage student. Although critics appreciated the film for it’s portrayal of a rustic family and educational setting, it has not gone down well with the common audience. Although the theme of the movie was quite tantalizing, but the story was reportedly quite slow and was boring at certain points. It did not impress the young audience neither did the mature audience appreciate it much. But yes the film did receive a good critical appreciation.
The movie is competing with OK Jaanu. The first day collection of Haramkhor was quite low i.e. 23.41 lacks. On the first weekend it continued with a poor show making only 1.23 crore at the box office. In the entire second week, it made a total collection of 83 Lacks. A total of around 2 crore was made in it’s first 10 days of release which is a poor figure. Nawazuddin is a one man army in movies today but he hasn’t yet delivered a commercially successful film single handedly. The same story seems to be repeating with Haramkhor.
