Bollywood has come a long way, completing 100 years of its existence, the film industry has also taught us lessons of patriotism and love for the country. In fact, you can find gazillion movies in Bollywood, which has portrayed the ideals of patriotism and love for the country. Of late, (since past a decade), the filmmakers of Bollywood has given a new edge to the sentiments of Patriotism, which has however, able to inculcate the values of country’s love and patriotic feelings among the audience. Some tend to be melodramatic, while other remains inspiring whereas the remaining just strengthens your feeling of an Indian very to a new level.
First come the movie – Ashutosh Gowariker movie Lagaan, which taught, how Indians have fought for the liberty of Indian soil from colonial rule, the other comes in the form of Rang De Basanti, which talks about how the values of patriotic revolutionaries like Chandra Shekhar Azad and Ashfaqullah can make the difference once revived in the current corrupt system. Then comes Swadesh another movie of Ashutosh Gowariker movie wherein it taught the audience that no love is greater than country’s love. Then you have movies like A Wednesday from Neeraj Pandey, which teaches us how a common man fights to secure the pride and honor of our nation from the menace called Terrorism. This is just few films to name, you can hordes of movies being made in every era to teach and inculcate the values of patriotism.
