A very happy and prosperous birthday to the actor who turned 67 today. The actor has entertained the audience with his stellar performances in many movies over the decades. These include the serious roles to the comical ones he did in his wide array of movies in Hindi Cinema.
As Rishi Kapoor is in New York of his cancer treatment, we hear that the actor is all set to return this month after his one-year-long stay in the country. During his stay away from India, he missed a few films releasing back in India. He was missed a lot by his fans particularly when his films were released and he was not seen during the promotion of the film. The actor was born in 1952 in Mumbai to veteran director Raj Kapoor.
He started working young and even bagged the National Film Award for the child artist role for his father Raj Kapoor in the said movie. However, his debut as an actor came with the film Bobby in 1973 with Dimple Kapadia which helped him bag the best actor debut from Filmmaker in 1974. He got married in 1980 with his co-actress Netu Singh and they have worked in not less than 15 movies. His kids include Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor, the former is an actor and the latter is a designer by profession. His birthday plans are yet to be disclosed as he is in the US for the treatment.
