Happy Birthday Priyanka Chopra: Let’s take a look at the actress who became international following only one rule: ‘Hard Work’

Priyanka Chopra is known for breaking societal stereotypes and norms. The multi-talented actor, singer, producer, and now restaurateur turns 39 today. Here are some qualities of the actress which make her uniquely special.

Breaking Stereotypes
The actress has always managed to shatter the stereotypes right from her initial days in Bollywood when she took a role of a wealthy seductress in Aitraaz alongside Akshay Kumar to doing action sequences in Drona and Don. Now she has become the most popular brown face globally. And we can say that this was quite a journey. When the actress was asked about breaking stereotypes and norms in Hollywood, she answered, “When I grew up in America, I didn’t see anyone who looked like me on TV. I feel overwhelmed with the things that people have said to me. When I meet Indian Americans who’ve lived here all their lives, it’s overwhelming people holding me and crying. Someone said to me, ‘Thank you for making us relevant.’ It’s such a big thing.”

A marriage that started with a DM
Priyanka Chopra is now married to American singer Nick Jonas. And it all started with a DM. Peecee was highly criticized for her age gap with Nick Jonas, as the couple has an age gap of 10 years, but it didn’t stop her from settling. She ignored the haters and took control of her own life. And their wedding was all about a lavish three-day celebration in December 2018 and went on to host four more wedding receptions, nearly putting the royal wedding to shame.

Your Flaws are your strength
In this industry where every inch of your body should be perfect, and your perfection highlighted while degrading your flaws. Priyanka chose to be different. Her take on being flawed will make you realize how confident she is in her skin. Priyanka said, “I think it’s great to be flawed. I am hugely flawed, and I like it this way. That’s the fun of life. You fall, get up, make mistakes, learn from them, be human and be you.”

Your Opinions matter
When the diva was asked about having an opinion or an issue regarding a particular film she said, “Bans based on baseless propaganda. Holding films ransom just before they release so that publicity can be garnered for certain agendas by forcing a producer to their knees. How does no one speak up for what is right? How is this fair? People think films are just fun and games to make?! They are made with blood sweat and tears for entertainment!! Please stand by the filmmakers who put in their life’s money and hard work to make people laugh and smile. Don’t let them be blackmailed and threatened by holding their films ransom just before release. Speak up before if there is an issue! Everyone has a right to an opinion. The timing right before release just seems very suspect!! I know I may get into trouble for saying all this but I can’t be a silent witness to character defamation based on opinions anymore.. That is not what, the India I grew up, taught me.”

Beauty with Brains
The diva is slaying in all her on-screen projects, but when it comes to her being a boss she is doing a brilliant job. It all started with launching her production house, launching her biography. To open her new Indian restaurant in the heart of New York and launch an in-house haircare brand. She surely has a long way to go to add more feathers to her cap.
