Saiyaara’s Box Office Collections Cross ₹500 Crore; Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s Film Surpasses War and Dunki

Mohit Suri’s romantic musical Saiyaara, starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has achieved a remarkable milestone by crossing the ₹500 crore mark worldwide within just three weeks of release. The production house Yash Raj Films (YRF) celebrated this success on Instagram, stating, “#Saiyaara found a home in your hearts – and we couldn’t be more thankful.”

According to YRF, Saiyaara has grossed ₹507 crore globally in 18 days. Akshaye Widhani, CEO of YRF and the film’s producer, expressed his gratitude, saying, “It’s deeply encouraging to see young audiences leading the way in embracing this film, dispelling doubts about their participation in theaters. Thank you to every viewer, everywhere, for making Saiyaara the defining love story of our time.”Trade website Sacnilk reports that Saiyaara has collected ₹302.10 crore net and ₹362.50 crore gross in India. However, the film’s team released figures stating Saiyaara earned ₹308 crore net and ₹376 crore gross domestically, which, combined with ₹131 crore overseas, brings the total to ₹507 crore.This impressive haul makes Saiyaara the second-highest-grossing Indian film of the year, trailing only behind Chhaava, which earned ₹807.91 crore worldwide. Notably, Saiyaara has outperformed the lifetime box office collections of Hrithik Roshan’s War (₹471 crore) and Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki (₹454 crore).

The film’s story centers on Krish Kapur (Ahaan Panday), a talented but egotistical and short-tempered musician seeking his big break. He encounters Vaani (Aneet Padda), a reserved aspiring journalist healing from heartbreak. Krish discovers Vaani’s diary filled with poetry and transforms her verses into hit songs. As love blossoms, unforeseen challenges threaten to separate them, leaving the question of whether they will reunite to unfold in the film’s narrative.
