Brahmastra saw an outstanding run in its first weekend

Brahmastra (Hindi) had an outstanding run at the box office, successfully managing to gross around 104 crores in its first weekend. The movie saw strong growth on Saturday after its good run on the first day of release, i.e., Friday. Well, the film’s success comes as an end to Bollywood’s dry spell at the box office, bringing the audience to theatres once again.

The sci-fi mythological movie got good scores at the first weekend, with amazing business in 20 large cities and also good coverage in other places. However, the collections didn’t rise much on Sunday, even after a holiday.

Brahmastra experienced strong growth in regions like Gujarat and Ci on Sunday. However, if these locations had grown by at least 40-50 percent, it could be guaranteed that the film would retain a strong hold in the long run. Now, we have to see how the weekdays affect the run, positively or negatively.

On Friday, when the movie was released, there was a negative outline and the national press criticised the huge loss in the share price of Inox and PVR. They tagged the film as a ‘disaster’ relating it to the loss. But, after the release, the share prices recovered again on Monday, and so no one is talking about it. It seems like people in the industry too brought the share loss into notice with some agenda, and they won’t highlight the recovery too.

Brahmastra (Hindi)Weekend Collection

The weekend earnings of Ranbir Kapoor starrer for the Hindi Version are as follows:

Friday(Day1) : 31,00,00,000 cr

Saturday: 35,00,00,000 cr

Sunday: 38,50,00,000 cr

TOTAL EARNINGS: 1,04,50,00,000 cr

The movie also did well in other languages as it gained around 13.50 crores in the south. It is the highest collection ever for Hindi films dubbed in South Indian languages. The Telugu version is the highest till now and it also performed well in the Tamil language, showing growth on Saturday. So, the Hindi version in these regions is a bit less than a Bollywood movie should be, especially in Tamil Nadu. But it was expected as the audience could access the film in their native language, unlike every other Hindi film.
