The Bollywood’s most talented and versatile writer and lyrist/poet have his special day today. He turned 70 so a very happy and prosperous birthday to the multitalented writer – Javed Akhtar from one of the popular Bollywood updates sites – CineTalkers. He was born way back before independence in the year 1945 on this date. He started his career in Bollywood as a dialogue writer later turned into a scriptwriter and finally become the fulltime lyricist for which he is known in the industry.
Javed Akhtar’s combination with scriptwriter Salim Khan turned out a successful combo in B Town giving some of the best movies in the 70’s and 80’s including the films like Trishul, Zanjeer, Sagar, Meri Jung, Mr India, Kaala Patthar, Mashaal and many others in the list. Despite working as a scriptwriter, these legends are still remembered more for his lyrics. To name a few, the songs from movies like Dil Chahta Hai, Kal Ho Na Ho, Lagaan, Rock On, Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om and Namaste London.
