Happy Birthday Amrish Puri: The Villain who was famous more than Heros

The late actor Amrish Puri although is not in the physical world but he is still remembered for his iconic roles he played in B Town films. Today 22nd June, marks his 88th Birth Anniversary. The Villain was famous more than any hero in Bollywood of his times. He was born on this day way back in 1932 in Lahore, Pakistan. While he breathed last breath on 12th Jan 2005 leaving behind family and friends along with too many fans in B Town. 

He had worked in more than 400 films in his career. Some of the iconic roles he played in his films include Mogambo in Mr. India with Anil Kapoor and Sridevi, Tahalka with Dong, Karan Arjun with the role of Durjan Singh, and the Chief Minister Balraj Chauhan in the film Nayak. Besides, working in B Town films, he also appeared in a couple of Marathi movies as well. 

His first Marathi movies include Shant! Court Shuru Haahe. While his popular Bollywood films include Naseeb, Andha Kanoon, Kurbani and others. Most of his dialogues have become popular in B Town. While on 12th Jan 2005, he left this world leaving behind hordes of people behind. His dialogue Mugambo Kush Hua has become iconic in B Town and still remembered for the way he has said it in the movie – Mr. India. As he is nowhere in B Town but his films still remain alive and he would be remembered for his iconic roles. Stay tuned to know more on the late actor only with us.
