Hansika Motwani is an actress from India who often appears south Indian films, particularly in Tamil films.

Early years :

She is from Mumbai and was born in this city on 9th August 1991 in a non-filmy family as his father is a businessman while her mom is a dermatologist. She did her schooling from Podar International School, Mumbai, and later switched to the International Curriculum School to complete her schooling. She lives in the same apartment where the B Town actor Varun Dhawan stays.

Career :

She started working young as a child actress in TV show known as Shaka Laka Boom Boom. She then was seen in other TV show – Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand, which also helped her win Favorite Child Award at the known award platform of Star Parivaar Awards. This gave her the chance to appear in Bollywood movie Koi Mil Gaya giving her the opportunity to work with Preity Zinta and Hrithik Roshan. When she was 16, she got her debut in a Telugu movie called Desamuduru getting her lead role. She got her debut award in Filmfare South. The film though was a moderate hit, but she was applauded for her performance. Since then it was no looking back for her.

Some of her known movies include the high budget movies Kantri (2008) and Maska (2009). Her first Tamil movie was Mappillai in 2011, while she got other films like Engeyum Kadhal, Velayudham, Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru, Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, Aranmanai, Maan Karate, Manithan, and Bogan. Her debut in Malayalam was seen with Villain in 2017. She is currently doing three movies which include 100, Maha, Thuppakki Munai. She also did a couple of TV shows, which include Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Son Pari, Karishma Kaa Karishma, Hum 2 Hain Na and Celebrity Fame Gurukul.

Personal life & Other Work : 

Besides, film, she is also involved in a number of philanthropic activities. She has sponsored 25 students from underprivileged category and has been known for assisting them in their medical needs. She also has assisted women in breast cancer treatment. She is the Brand Ambassador of a breast cancer awareness program called ‘Chennai turns Pink’, which is addressed to the urban women. In the year, she was included in Forbes’ list of 250 celebs and later was nominated into 100 Most Influential Celebrities. She is not linked with anyone as she is not dating with anyone. She is currently focusing on her career.
