As the film Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil starring Janhvi Kapoor is ready to stream, it faces backlash on social media. The netizens have pledged to boycott the film ready to release on Netflix. This is her second film in her career. While talking to a leading newspaper she said she is yet to get her peace with it. She added she is often asked to prove herself and that she is not willing to do the same in every release.
The death of Sushant Singh Rajput has brought out the nepotism debate in social media where few filmmakers like Karan Johar and others were targeted with a vicious online attack. Even the star kids like Janhvi were targeted as a section of netizens feel that they have robbed the opportunity of outsiders like Sushant who deserved much better place in Tinsel Town.
While talking to the newspaper – HT, she further added that she might have not faced hardship and other things which any newcomer has to face in the industry for being a star kid, but her journey would remain a bit hard when it comes to proving in the film. She has to work hard and move ahead in life in a smooth way like any other actor in Bollywood. She also said that this is the time to exercise sensitivity both for the film and people’s feelings. She concluded saying that what she has done in the film is the best from her and that she feels confident about her performance in the film. She does not need to be apologetic.
