FTII

Continuing with the protest against the higher authorities i.e. against the chairman of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) governing council, the students kept their demands intact with a stubborn attitude against the authorities. Though the temperature was raising like anything without any pause but meanwhile in between the director none other than D J Narain finally took an initiative for restoring the calmness in the campus by adding a statement which was indeed a relaxing quote that not only satisfied the students but also the higher authorities. As of now the FTII will be pulled by upgrading the infrastructure, equipment and syllabus with an investment of around 80Crs for the up gradation of the institute.

As per the sources “The government had appointed the chairman and constituted the society. Unfortunately, students have protested against it. I am trying to resolve it as quickly as possible so that we come back to the normal state of functioning and FTII resumes its activities – Narain added” – As per the sources. However, up till now the government body have spent 30Crs on purchasing brand new equipment. Meanwhile he also added “It was a challenge to make the best use of the budget sanctioned by the government and for the first time, we formed the technical advisory council, who recommend all the required technical equipment purchases. Massive cost efficiency was introduced” – As per the sources
