Gour Hari Dastaan – The Freedom File 1st Weekend Box Office Report
This Friday, considering the eve of Independence Day, the film Gour Hari Dastaan – The Freedom File, embarked over the silver screen. The film starring Vinay Pathak and Konkana Sen Sharma is basically a biopic based on the life of a real time patriot and freedom fighter, who went all the way to prove his contribution to Indian struggle movement. However, he was recognized after his long struggle in the society. Though the biopic movies are not often that popular, however, certain of these films have been a big hit over the box office. Ironically, this film failed to manage the pride of the filmmaker with giving a very low figure over the box office.
As per reports, the film failed to do much better over the box office. Thanks to the low profile promotion the film simply remained at the backburner. The first weekend box office collection of Gour Hari Dastaan- The Freedom File tolled to around 2.5 crores. The other film Brothers starring Akshay Kumar and Siddhart Malhotra managed to overshadow the film, making things bad to worse. Hence, it was inevitable to see things going the way as seen currently. So more expectations in the weekdays as well.
