Akshay Kumar Treads the Charity Path Again – Donates INR 1 lakh to 100 brides
Akshay Kumar has been known to carry out charity work a lot. He has initiated the self-defence classes that support the Bharat Ke Veer Foundation for the Indian Army jawans. He has always remained at the forefront of supporting various noble causes. We heard that he recently encouraged his social media followers and fans to donate for the martyred CRPF officials in the 14th Feb Pulwama attacks. Now, we heard that Khiladi of B Town is planning to extend support to the samuha vivah or mass marriage.
As per reports, the Rustom actor took all his time and efforts in attending the charity event. He donated INR 1 Lakh each to the 100 couples present at the occasion who belonged to the underprivileged class. He has donated the amounts to the brides for their future, and as per reports, the money was transferred then and there only in their respective accounts. He said they will have some amount to start their new lives easily. Also, if you remember that Housefull actor also donated INR 5 Crores to the families of CRPF martyrs who lost their lives in the recent Pulwama attacks.
Talking about his work, he has just completed his comedy film Housefull 4. He is also gearing up for his film Good News produced under Dharma Productions of Karan Johar opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan. His next release would be Kesari which he is doing opposite Parineeti Chopra which happens to be a drama movie inspired by the real incidents during the Battle of Saragarhi with some Afghani tribes.
