Amrish Puri was among the most respectable and competent actors in B Town. Today as he has his 87th Birth Anniversary, the giant search engine has decided to pay a tribute and therefore we can see a Doodle dedicated by Google for the veteran actor. He was among the most celebrated actor who played a villain in most of his films in Hindi Cinema. His role Mogambo in the 1986 film Mr. India was a big hit and his dialogue Mogambo Khush Hua was among the popular ones of B Town.
He has worked with many films in a negative role including Gadar Ek Prem Katha, Virasat, Damini, Karan Arjun, Raam Jaane, and many more such films. His role of a caring and insecure father in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is still remembered with his famous dialogue Ja Simran Ja Ji Le Apni Zindagi. He has also worked in a few global projects like Hollywood film Temple of Doom by Steven Spielberg apart from getting a small role in Gandhi. Talking about his grandfather he said that he is very much influenced by his grandfather. He calls him as his God and he prays to him. He said he was very close to him and would sleep with him and his grandmother. He further said that when he lost his grandfather, it was like losing grand protection.
