Gold and Satyamev Jayate First Weekend Box Office Collection

The B Town had two big movies that were released on the eve of Independence Day. A big time opportunity for both the films to earn big over the box office. Well, let’s start with the first movie Gold starring Akshay Kumar. The film opened with a great opening on I Day on 15th August gaining around 25 crore, which was followed by 8 crore on the next day and then on the Friday it gained around 10 crore. While on Saturday, the film managed to get around 12 crore, while the Sunday was again decent in terms of collection to get around 13 crore. So, the long weekend for the film has proved not just better for Akki but the best for Gold.

Well, as per these figures, the 1st weekend box office collection for Gold reached to around 68 crore. And like any other Akshay Kumar movie, Gold will reach closer to 100 crore or will cross the 100 crore and would then stop like what we have been seeing the fate of any Akshay Kumar movie. However, with this figure, the film Gold has managed to beat Satyamev Jayate, now, let’s see how the John Abraham film has managed to do at the box office. The film opened with 20 crore on the first day and then it went on score similar to the way the Akki film but kept a bit low when compared Satyamev Jayate. It seemed the gleam of Gold was brighter than the John Abraham film.

As per reports, the first weekend box office collection for Satyamev Jayate reached to around 53.5 crore, that make the film lag behind the Gold. The film deals with corruption and the fight against this menace from the one man army led by John Abraham. Now, the film collection during the weekdays would lower when compared to the previous of I Day that helped the film to gain big over the box office. On an average of 4-5 crore collection, the movie would somewhere collect not less 80 to 100 crore as its life time collection.
