Globetrotter Event: Prithviraj Sukumaran Shares Insights on ‘Famous S S Rajamouli Narration’ and Praises Prabhas, Mahesh Babu & Priyanka Chopra

At the Globetrotter event in Hyderabad, surrounded by stalwarts like S S Rajamouli, M M Keeravani, Mahesh Babu, and Priyanka Chopra, Prithviraj Sukumaran delivered a memorable and heartfelt speech that left the audience captivated.
Prithviraj began by expressing gratitude to music maestro M M Keeravani for his evocative theme based on his character. “Growing up, I’ve been inspired by the timeless classics you’ve created in Malayalam cinema. It’s a true honor to collaborate with you now,” he shared.
Recounting a pivotal moment, Prithviraj revealed, “A couple of years ago, while directing my own film, I received a message from Rajamouli sir. It read, ‘Hi Prithvi, this is S S Rajamouli. The antagonist character in my next film has turned out exceptionally well, one of the finest I’ve ever conceived. Would you be interested?’ I still have that message.”
He continued, “I casually replied ‘Sure sir,’ but he must have sensed my excitement. Soon after, I sat in his office with a beautiful German Shepherd beside me, experiencing the famous S S Rajamouli narration that my friend Prabhas had hyped up endlessly. Just five minutes into it, I was completely blown away.
Prithviraj praised Rajamouli’s faith in him, saying, “He entrusted me with one of the most complex, emotionally and physically demanding characters he’s ever created. Thank you, sir, for your trust, belief, and the grueling yet rewarding process. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Turning to Mahesh Babu, Prithviraj reminisced, “The first Telugu film I watched in a theater was Pokiri (2006). Since then, seeing you embrace your heritage and carve out your own legacy has been truly inspiring. As the superstar you are, you genuinely deserve this film — and this film truly deserves you!”
He also lauded Priyanka Chopra, “I’ve always been a huge fan of PC. Her role as Jhilmil in Barfi! (2012) ranks among the greatest performances by any Indian actor. It’s a privilege to witness your transformation into Mandakini up close.”
It is a new beginning in cinema. Prithviraj concluded, “Once again, S S Rajamouli is poised to take Indian cinema to the global stage — bigger, bolder, and more audacious than ever before.”
