Gangubai Kathiawadi: Mumbai Court Sends Summon to Alia Bhatt & Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Alia Bhatt seemed to have gotten rave reviews for her upcoming film Gangubai Kathiawadi, However, it seems that there are some objections being hurled on the movie, which comes out to be an interesting thing to do. Alia Bhatt is now working for a movie GK with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and her recent teaser released did create a good buzz around the film. Thanks to her performance that has impressed her fans and her detractors as well that came forward to applaud her.
The film was challenged by none other than Gangubai’s adopted son – Rajiv Shah who has filed a defamation against the filmmaker and the leading lady. This has led to the additional chief metropolitan magistrate of Mumbai court to send summons to both Alia Bhatt and the filmmaker on the issue of tarnishing the image of the Gangubai. The adopted son claimed that the filmmakers have added too many controversial things in the story, which is not been discussed in the book to which the filmmakers have referred to make the movie.
The case is about criminal defamation and it is very well connected with the movie that has brought many to review the chapter of the book called Mafia Queens of Mumbai written by Hasan Zaid. With this the adopted son objected to the image presented before the world through the movie allowing the Mumbai Courts to submit summons to the two.
