Game Over

The Taapsee Pannu starrer Game Over finally hit the screens. The film though was a solo release found in three languages like the South Indian languages along with Hindi but had to clash with Chris Hemsworth’s Men In Black International. Thus the competition was tough against the film as the two gave options to the audience for the multiplex audiences. The film Game Over had a decent buzz with the trailer releasing earlier but MIB International seems to have hampered the occupancy particularly in North India and other Hindi belt areas.

Game Over is the film with Ashwin Saravanan as its director, while Tapsee Pannu, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan, and Anish Kuruvilla remain the lead actors in the film. Game Over had a decent screen share that goes to around 2500 to 3000 screens helping the makers to earn a decent figure at the box office. As per reports, the Hindi version of Game Over scored around 1.5 Crores, while the South Indian language film had a decent collection giving you around 3.5 Crores. So, the total was a good figure for the film that tolled to around 5.0 Crores.

The film’s collection was hampered a bit with the advent of the Hollywood film. However, the experts feel that the word of mouth buzz for the film will help the film to prosper at the box office. But it will remain affected in the Hindi belt with the ongoing World Cup to a great extent as this weekend, there will be an Indian Pakistan Match in the UK. This will also hamper the collection yet it is likely to collect around 20 Crores at the box office. Well, let’s see how things would move but at the moment things would move on a decent note.
